What was in the way.
Appointments lived in two booking systems that quietly disagreed, while a pending-appointment queue grew faster than the scheduling team could work it.

How we built it.
The checker runs as a scheduled diff between the two systems and reports only genuine divergence — same patient, different slot — so the team reviews exceptions rather than a full list. Queue clearing and new-patient booking write through the same validation path, which means a booking that would collide with capacity rules is raised, not created.
