The challenge

What was in the way.

Documentation was the bottleneck on every patient episode. Summaries, visit reviews and discharge letters were written from scratch, by hand, across dozens of provider accounts — so notes went stale and reviews ran late.

The solution

How we built it.

Every draft is retrieval-grounded in the patient's own chart, never free-generated, and every output lands in a review state rather than a final one — the clinician stays the author of record. Prompts are versioned per document type, and a scheduler ranks accounts by how overdue their notes are so the highest-risk charts are refreshed first.

Delivered (7)
New-Patient Summary Writer — generates an AI summary for each new patient and writes it into their notes
Multi-Provider Visit-Review Bot — reviews notes across many provider accounts, summarizes with AI, and updates each visit review
Recurring Notes Updater — refreshes patient visit notes on a schedule, prioritizing the accounts that need it most
Admission Note Generator — on admission, pulls patient data, drafts the note sections and sends them for review
Discharge Summary Writer — gathers a patient's charts and drafts a discharge summary for clinician review
New-Chart Builder — looks patients up by record number and assembles their data into a fresh chart
Health-System Visit-Review Bot — automates recurring visit reviews for a large health-system account
The outcome
01Shipped
Delivered to production and still maintained by the team that built it.
02Tested
One test matrix across hardware, firmware and interface — no gaps between layers.
03Documented
Runbooks, monitoring and escalation handed over with the system.
04Scaled
Grew with usage without re-architecture or a second rebuild.
